Kris grew up in Ohio where he was a 3 year starter at Fairfield High School near Cincinnati, 1992 High School National Champions, as well as playing for 5 consecutive national championships during the summer. He then went on to be a 4 year starter at Northwestern University in the outfield committing only 2 errors in his career there.
After his career at Northwestern Kris went on to instruct with 4 different major league teams including the Brewers, Diamondbacks, Cubs, and Reds. Since 2001 he has spent his time as an instructor for kids of all ages. For the last five years working classes, clinics, and one-on-one instruction he has worked with over 1000 kids a year with almost 400 being one-on-one.
