Pitching, Hitting, Infield & Outfield
Kathleen played at Barrington High School where she helped lead her team to four MSL championships and three state berths. She pitched her team to a third place finish at state in 2005 and an elite eight finish in 2006. Kathleen ranks in the 20 top (13) for fewest walks allowed in a high school career.She played travel ball for the Schaumburg Sluggers, Barrington Blaze, Barrington Typoons, Hurricanes and the Naperville Diamonds.
After high school, Kathleen went to play as a four year starter at the University of Chicago and just became the first four-time NFCA All-Region honoree in University of Chicago’s softball history. Kathleen ranks among the Chicago softball program’s career top-10 in runs (103 – 2nd), doubles (37 – 2nd), hits (158 – 3rd), walks (56 – 3rd), and batting average (.395 – 7th). She is University of Chicago’s all-time leader in home runs (19) and RBIs (100) and holds the single season record for RBIs (38). Kathleen was named twice to the All-UAA softball team and was also the 2010 U of C MVP.
Currently, Kathleen has returned to Barrington High School to coach at the freshmen level.
