Grant Monroe

Pitching & Hitting

Grant was a four year letterman at Schaumburg High School until graduated in 2007. He was named all-conference each of his four years at Schaumburg, all-state in three years, and was named the Chicago Athlete of the Year his senior year. Grant compiled a four year record of 31-7 on the mound, including a 12-2 senior year with a 0.84 ERA. One of the highlights of Grant’s high school career was throwing a no-hitter in the Regional Championship when he was just a freshman.

After high school Grant went on to be a starting pitcher at Duke University as well as seeing some time at first base. After his college career, Grant was drafted by the Chicago White Sox in the 2009 amateur draft.
