Chris was a graduate of St. Viator High School in Arlington Heights in 2002. He then moved on to college and started all four years at Olivet College in Michigan. One year at 1B and 3 in CF. During his career ar Olivet Chris was a three time All Michigan Intercollegiate Athletics Association 1st teamer in 2004, 2005, and 2007, and a two time Div. III All American in 2005 and 2007. Throughout his four years he amassed many records. His 14 homeruns, 46 rbi, 112 total bases, and .855 slugging perrcentage rank 1st for a single season at Olivet. As a sophomore Chris hit 9 homeruns in the MIAA conference season which still stands as the top mark for a single season. In his career at Olivet he hit .385 (1st), slugged .613 (1st), and had an OBP of .458 (2nd). He had 185 hits (1st), scored 122 runs (1st), 38 doubles (1st), 7 triples (2nd), 19 homeruns (1st), 109 rbi (1st), 294 total bases (1st), 480 at bats (2nd), 65 walks (4th), 47 stolen bases (3rd) rounding out a good four year college career.
Chris graduated with a bachelors degree in biology with a minor in fitness management.
