Bob Mackey has just completed a 30-year tenure as the head baseball coach at Stevenson High School. His career record of 681-312 places Bob as 6th in Illinois high school baseball history for career victories (5th for career wins at one school). His teams have won 5 division titles, 9 conference championships, 8 regional championships and reached the “sweet 16” three times since joining the North Suburban Conference in 1983. The Patriots posted their 22nd consecutive 20+ win season last year. His summer league teams reached the state finals 6 times and were state champions in 1996.

Bob was elected to the Illinois High School Coaches Hall Of Fame in 1997 and the Lake County Athletic Hall of Fame in 2004. Over 90 of his players have playedat the collegiate level and over the years Bob has also served as the camp coordinator for Stevenson High School, Pete Dunn Baseball Camp and Baseball Schools U.S.A.
